According to Mehr reporter, Saeed Safavi pointed out the capacities of the province in the direction of creating a creative city and said: Zanjan province has potential in the field of handicrafts and food industries.

He said: This province has hosted the food festival of ECO countries several times and many active workshops in the field of producing knives, copper, silverware and tapestries are active in this province.

Director General of Cultural Heritage of Zanjan province said: For the past few years, we have been trying to start the preparations for the province’s joining the network of creative cities in Zanjan, and today, with the opening of this complex, we can take steps in this field more effectively than before.

Safavi emphasized: Zanjan province can make significant progress in two of the seven pillars of the UNESCO organization in the field of creative city.

He added: « All of us must try and take advantage of the existing capacities of the province such as tourism, handicrafts, food industries, historical buildings, etc. in line with the progress of the city and the province. »

The General Director of Cultural Heritage of Zanjan Province stated: Zanjan Province is the birthplace of many prominent thinkers and philosophers in the world and has the oldest textile industries in the past 2400 years and original and cultural architecture such as laundry.

Safavi added: Many metal industries are produced and supplied in this city, and Zanjan is a world city of metal Iran handicrafts.

He clarified: 55 fields out of 300 fields of metals are active in Zanjan, and in this regard, with the help of experts in this field, we can move towards Zanjan being the fifth city to be registered by UNESCO after the four cities in the Creative City complex. reach
